Air Conditioner Fan Motor Tester 3-Wire and 5-Wire (310V) Universal DC Driver Detector
- Stock: In Stock
- Brand: Artiko
- Model: 01 73 29
Designed to test the condition, speed control response and signal feedback of the DC fan motors in air conditioner indoor and outdoor units quickly and reliably in the field. With its transparent protective case, digital LED display showing the speed frequency and multiple universal sockets, the DC Fan Motor Tester is one of the professional fault-finding tools HVAC technicians need most.
Fast Fault Detection with LED Display and Multiple Sockets
Thanks to the digital LED display on the device, you can follow the fan's feedback frequency in real time and see without any doubt whether the motor accelerates correctly. The board has ready-made socket inputs (PG, VSP, 15V, GND, 310V) that suit the various pin layouts used by different air conditioner brands and motor manufacturers. With the practical 3-wire / 5-wire switch button, it lets you test a very wide range of motors with a single device.
Key Technical Specifications and Equipment
The key features of this universal test detector, which speeds up fault-finding in the field, are as follows:
- Connection Compatibility: Full test capability with 3-wire (UVW) and 5-wire (310V DC) inverter air conditioner fan motors.
- Display Panel: Red digital LED display showing the instantaneous speed frequency (RPM feedback), PG (signal) LED and 310V power status LED.
- Control Mechanism: Potentiometer "SPEED" knob for precise motor speed adjustment and a 3/5-wire switch button.
- Design and Dimensions: Compact case with a transparent protective cover measuring 115mm x 90mm x 58mm. A special zippered carrying case for safe storage and a power cable are included.
- Protection: Built-in 310V short-circuit protection (helps protect the device in case of incorrect connection, but manual pin checking is essential).
Practical Usage Note for Field Technicians
Technician's Note: Before starting the test, always read the wire functions on the label (nameplate) of the fan motor you are testing. 5-wire motors typically use Red (310V), Black (GND), White (15V VCC), Yellow (VSP - Speed Control) and Blue (FG/PG - Feedback), but the layout may vary by brand. Make sure you match each wire's function to the correct socket on the test board! An incorrect layout can burn out both the motor and the detector.
During the test, press the red button for a 5-wire fan, and release the button (leave it out) for a 3-wire fan. Turn the speed knob slowly; if the motor speeds up gradually and the frequency value on the display rises, your motor is in good condition. Flashing of the PG light at low speeds shows that the signal is being read. If the motor does not turn, starts with difficulty, the display shows meaningless values or the 310V light goes out completely, your fan motor is faulty.
