The Artiko LX-3113 is a 90 cm three-hose charging set used between the manifold and the system for refrigerant charging, evacuation and pressure measurement on air conditioning and refrigeration systems. It consists of red (high pressure), blue (low pressure) and yellow (charging/vacuum) hoses; with 800 PSI working and 4000 PSI burst pressure ratings, it is suitable for high-pressure refrigerants such as R410A.

Set Contents, Technical Values and Usage Notes

• Color codes are standard: the blue hose connects to the low pressure (suction) side, the red hose to the high pressure (discharge) side, and the yellow hose to the center port of the manifold — that is, to the refrigerant cylinder, vacuum pump or recovery unit.
• Do not underestimate R410A pressure. R410A operates at roughly 60% higher pressure than R22; the 800 PSI working / 4000 PSI burst ratings of this set are required for this. Do not use lower pressure class (500 PSI) R22 hoses on R410A systems.
• Why 5/16"? The service valves of R410A systems are deliberately made 5/16" SAE to prevent charging with the wrong refrigerant; R22/R134a systems use 1/4". This set connects with 5/16" on the R410A side and 1/4" on the manifold side. If you encounter an R410A unit with a 1/4" service port, a 5/16"-1/4" adapter is required.
• Seal and valve core check: The rubber seals inside the fittings harden over time and leak; if you see a pressure drop on the gauge after charging, check the seals and valve cores first.
• Vacuum performance: A long hose increases evacuation time and creates resistance at deep vacuum. For evacuation, use the shortest hose possible and fully open valves; that is why 90 cm is a practical length for the service bag.
• Do not kink the hoses at sharp corners, do not step on them and do not leave them in direct sunlight for long periods; cracking of the outer cover shortens the life of the inner rubber layer.
